高校生の女子ネコ（High School Girl Cats）by Mitsuba & Motoko Shimizu

In May, 2014, my best friend’s daughter, Mitsuba and I started a remote cat cartoon collaboration. She wrote/drew in Tokyo and I colored in New York. As soon as we started, we became each other’s rival . She was 10 year old back then.

Mitsuba created such a wonderful universe of 3 high school girl cats. They went to study abroad in New York. My husband and I were host cats for their stay. Then, they made new cat friends, formed a brass band, and traveled to fascinating places we never heard of....

We created 8 episodes together until May, 2017. It was such a pleasure and honor for me to work with her. I was just thrilled by the world she was developing and excited about her growth on episode by episode.

Now she is already in college and asked where I posted each cartoon. So, I complied all the episodes and here we are.

2014年5月、親友の娘のみつばちゃんと私はリモートでネコ漫画コラボを始めた。みっちゃんは東京でストーリーと作画、私はニューヨークで彩色。コラボが始まった途端、彼女と私は対等なライバル同士になった。みっちゃんは当時10歳。

みっちゃんは、高校生の女子ネコ3匹を巡る素晴らしい物語を作り上げた。女子ネコたちはニューヨークに留学し、私と夫はホームステイ先のホスト猫として登場。女子ネコたちは新しい友達に出会い、ブラスバンドを結成、そして私たちが今まで聞いたこともない場所を訪れる。。。

みっちゃんと私は、２０１７年５月までに８つのエピソードを作り上げた。コラボはとても楽しく刺激的だった。彼女が構築していく世界に私はただ魅せられ、エピソードごとに感じられる彼女の成長に目を見張った。

みっちゃんはすでに大学生。コラボの投稿先を彼女に聞かれたので、全エピソードをまとめて再投稿してみました。
