On the way towards Athens. Tinos?

Trip to Greece: Day 7, Mykonos to Athens

Blue Star Ferry to Athens. Left Mykonos at 2:15 PM.

It was a nice 6-hour cruise. Sat on upper deck, plenty of pleasant wind and sun, beautiful sea and islands. After 2 Ouzo and beer, nap and saw sunset together. Even Ed, who was traumatized from a series of bad luck in Santorini, loved it!! 

Arrived Athens port. Taxi to Central Athens Hotel (about 20€ including tip, about 30 min. ride). Checked-in. Walked around Plaka where the hotel is located. Saw lighted up Acropolis.

Greek music on street. Dinner at Bairaktaris tavern on a very busy street right off from the Monastiraki Square. 

More cats. Strolled back to hotel. 

Trip to Greece: Day 7, Mykonos town

Breakfast at hotel. Check out, left luggage, then,walked to Archaeological museum. More cats! 

Little Venice

The museum have finds from Delos.

Lunch at a tavern at the back of Little Venice. 

More cats on the way back to the hotel. Shuttle to ferry. 

Trip to Greece: Day 6, Mykonos, Psarou Beach

Back to the hotel and joined Ed, talking about my adventure while walking toward south bus station to Psarou beach. Finally floating on Aegean sea! 

Water was very clean and beautiful, even some small fish were swimming at water’s edge. Melow and relaxed beach with some sophistication. 

Lunch (Fish & Chips, club house sandwich, beer).

After glass of Ouzo, took a nap and swimming again. Stayed there until 4:30 ish. Walked toward Platis Gialos Beach bus station to town. 

Showed Ed the Cat street next to the bus station. 

 

Back to the hotel. More cat.

Discovered that last night’s sunset viewing point was just behind the hotel, so invited Ed to join.

Had drink and ordered room service (sandwiches) .
